Lily Allen is one of the few to encourage young girls not to be bone thin, seemingly the opposite of Paris Hilton. Last year she described Paris: "People like her are useless."

Lily Allen is nearing the finish of her US tour, with an awesome performance at the newly named Fillmore at Irving Plaza in New York City on 11th April, farwelling New York.

She brought a girl to tears, singing all the tracks from Alright, Still, starting with LDN and finishing with everyone's favourite Smile. With her encore, she performed covers of Kaiser Chiefs’ Oh My God and Blondie’s Heart of Glass, before capping of the performance with Alfie. Read the review at Rolling Stone!

Lily is still set to perform today (13th April) at the Rockefeller Center for the Today show, April 14 at radio station KCRW's A Sounds Eclectic Evening in Universal City and then April 29th at the Coachella festival in Indio, California before heading home to Britain.

It appears a glockenspiel and horns remix of Lily Allen's Smile unfortunately didn't make it onto the album.

Nearing the end of her current US Tour, Lily Allen has announced she will kick off a another tour on May 13 in Seattle.

Her fourth US tour, is rumoured to include 20 stops across the states, including a gig at the Bonnaroo festival in Manchester on June 15th.

6 months after Lily Allen's debut album was released in the UK, our favorite "Alright, Still" is released in the US today.

She's set to make a buzz, having been selected by MTV as their "Discover and Download" artist of January, and will launch their first ever "Discover and Download" tour giving her mainstream exposure on the MTV channels across America and worldwide.

Lily will be performing on "Saturday Night Live" on 3rd February and "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" on 13th February, so be sure to tune in to see her do her stuff.

She is also launching a tour, of mainly intimate nightclub gigs in 5th February.

We wish good luck to Lily in this new market, and just know she'll do great!

Singer Lily Allen has captured the most nominations for the 2007 Brit Awards with four, followed by Muse with three.

She is nominated for best British female solo artist, best British album, and breakthrough artist. She is also contending for British single of the year with "Smile," which is decided by a public vote during the awards.

Allen is up against Corrine Bailey Rae, Amy Winehouse, Jamelia and Nerina Pallot for best British female solo artist.

She faces Rae, James Morrison and the group Snow Patrol for the best single

The Brit Awards ceremony is held on Feb. 14 in London, and we wish congratulations and good luck to Lily on her nominations.

Lily Allen's little dog, Maggie has returned home, after being dognapped from the back of a van on 28 Dec!

A message on her MySpace page explains she had received a phone call from a man who claimed he had bought the dog to give to as a present to his sister, but agreed to give the dog back for the reward.

Lily Allen wrote, "Once Maggie had been handed over the young men and woman offered to sell more puppies to my friends, which made us realise that these people were obviously in the business of moving dogs."

"Now I feel guilty for having given these people money and contributing to their cruel business but I love that dog and felt I had no choice."

"The fact that she was very thin makes me think she was mistreated - not fed - and the fact she was infested with fleas implies she was kept with other animals... This is now a matter for the RSPCA and the police.

The next single from Lily Allen's debut album, ‘Alright Still’, has been released via Regal Records on December 11th! ‘Littlest Things’, the new single has been described by Lily as the only love song she has ever written. It is now released on CD and 7”, with two very special extra tracks.

The B-sides feature a cover of Keane’s “Everybody’s Changing” which was originally recorded for the Dermot O’Leary show on Radio 2 and which then became a popular addition to Lily’s live shows.

The CD single features a previously unavailable Lily track, the brilliant ‘U Killed It’.

According to a fan at an all-star show at the Union Chapel in Islington, London, Lily was stumped when she launched into her second song, and had to get her lyrics printed off the internet.

"She performed her first number without any problems, but when it came to the second track 'Everything's Just Wonderful', she just got 'stuck'," he told the Daily Mail. "She just said something like, 'Sorry, I can't remember it. I'll have another go later'.

"She seemed mildly embarrassed but quite jovial. Then she sent someone off for the lyrics and launched into a different song. About five minutes later the assistant came back and handed her a couple of sheets of paper with the lyrics on."

Lily Allen, and other musicians including David Bowie, Ringo Starr, and Coldplay are auctioning their shoes for charity. The stars are selling their footwear to raise money for the Mines Advisory Group (MAG) - an organisation that helps support mine-damaged Africa.
